Upset

Today you were particularly upset. I’m not sure what was going on, possibly teething, possibly not enough sleep. Whatever it was you were not happy about it. You enjoyed sitting next to me on the couch. You are constantly trying to play with and take my glasses off. I love you so much.

Walking

You finally learned how to walk!
We were at your 15 month check up and the doctor shared her concern that you weren’t walking yet (at this point you were actually 16 months) she said she was going to send someone to evaluate you and make sure we didn’t need to do anything special. You started walking a couple of steps towards her and then got tired and didn’t want to do anymore. Then we kept working with you, I would have you walk from your bedroom to the living room and back from waking up and naptime. This seemed to catch on for you. You were very excited to do this.
Also, we would have you walk towards us from a good distance. You love this, you would giggle and keep walking. Eventually you just decided it was time to start walking. Two weeks after your 15 months checkup you were walking! It is still slow going, you are still trying to figure out your confidence in walking but you are doing a great job. Officially you started walking on February 16th, 2016, you are 16 months old.
I cannot believe what a big, beautiful and independent little girl you are growing up to be. I love you so much!

Molars

You have been doing this thing where you rock back and forth and hit your head on the rails of your crib. You’ve been doing it about a week now so I finally decided to google it and apparently it can be a sign of teething. So last night when we were going on almost an hour of you crying and doing this I decided to check your mouth and sure enough, there are 2 molars coming through. I can’t imagine the pain you must feel with this. I gave you some Tylenol and a teething ring and about 30 minutes later when the Tylenol kicked in you fell fast asleep. I love you beautiful.

Feeding Time

This is life with a toddler. You start out mealtime trying to feed your kid semi-healthy  (peanut butter on wheat, nutrigrain bar, hot dog) and then when she won’t eat it you add veggie chips. Ugh.

Kisses

Every day I watch you grow and learn new things. I try to teach you new things and celebrate when you finally learn how to do it for yourself. Today, as I was working you finally figured out how to blow kisses with daddy. I am so proud of you!

Big Food

My pretty girl with her big girl food. Mommy did not cut it up enough though and had a brief choking incident. Thank goodness for a little knowledge on how to fix it. She kept gagging it up and trying to swallow again. Ugh. Kids.
